Racking Safety > Pallet Racking Health & Safety Inspection System

Good to GO is a cost effective safety management system designed for racking safety. This simple, highly visible system can assist in reducing the risk of racking collapse and the devastating problems that can effect.

The chances of racking being hit by forklifts is high but the reporting of such collisions by drivers is notoriously low. The need for frequent racking safety checks is therefore critical. Assuming racking is safe can lead to increased injury or even death, damage to plant and equipment, loss of man time plus the possibility of increased costs of insurance, compensation etc.

The good to go racking safety management system provides a simple routine maintenance plan at the beginning of every shift clearly identifying whether racking is good to go.....or not safe to use.

The good to go system complies with PUWR, WAHR, HSE and SEMA legislation and best practice.

It has a high visual impact at point of use - exactly where you need it and it is suggested to position the robust, bright yellow safety pod by the safe working load (SWL) sign at the end of each aisle.

The The pod is extremely durable, robust, UV stable and waterproof, it is suitable for use either indoors or outdoors. Quick, simple and informative racking safety check lists are contained within along with a carbonated copy to ensure a full audit trail.

Tamper evident seal further ensures validity of the check list. The check book system chronologically records all checks stored.

The classification of damaged racking along with recommended actions are in accordance with SEMA guidelenes

Green Risk - requires surveillance only - reduction in rack carrying capacity or a repair of the system not required. Components are safe and serviceable. Record on the check list for re examination and reassess at future inspections.

Orange Risk - substandard - requires actions asap - remedial work required but immediate offloading of racking not required. Once load is removed, it should not be re loaded until repairs are completed. Status pod to have "Do Not Use" displayed until all repairs completed. Rack re designated as red risk if remedial work not completed within 4 weeks.
