Intersafety Industrial Protection Ltd is committed to achieving Net Zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050.

As a supplier of PPE, workwear, safety equipment and related services, we recognise that our operations and supply chain have an environmental impact. Our aim is to reduce that impact in a practical, responsible and measurable way, while continuing to provide reliable products and service to our customers.

This policy applies to our office, warehouse, garment decoration operations, heat transfer and printing activities, company vehicles, local deliveries, courier despatches, packaging, waste handling and supplier relationships.

Our Commitment

Intersafety is committed to reducing the environmental impact of our business and supporting the wider transition to Net Zero. We will focus on areas where we can make meaningful improvements, including energy use, transport, waste reduction, product selection, packaging and customer support.

Our premises are electric-only, with no gas used on site. We will continue to review our electricity use across our office, warehouse, embroidery, printing and heat transfer operations, and we will look for opportunities to improve efficiency wherever practical.

Transport and Deliveries

We operate local deliveries using our own diesel van as part of an optimised delivery schedule. Our aim is to reduce unnecessary journeys by planning efficient routes and consolidating deliveries wherever possible.

For national deliveries, we use third-party courier networks and will continue to consider service options that support efficient despatch, reduced duplication of journeys and responsible delivery practices.

Waste, Recycling and Reuse

We are committed to reducing waste generated by our business and improving the way materials are reused or recycled. Current activities include:

We will continue to review our waste streams and look for further opportunities to reduce landfill, reuse packaging and support textile zero-to-landfill initiatives where suitable options are available.

Products and Suppliers

As a PPE supplier, much of the environmental impact connected to our business sits within the wider product supply chain. We will work with suppliers and manufacturers to better understand the environmental credentials of the products we supply and to identify lower-impact options where available.

Where appropriate, we will consider factors such as product durability, recycled content, packaging, responsible manufacturing, reusable alternatives and supplier environmental commitments. This approach will be balanced with product performance, safety certification, availability, customer requirements and value for money.

Supporting Our Customers

We will help customers make more informed choices by offering practical guidance where suitable. This may include:

Continuous Improvement

We recognise that achieving Net Zero is a long-term commitment. Our approach will develop over time as better information, products, technologies and recycling routes become available.

We will review this policy periodically and continue to look for practical ways to reduce emissions and waste across our operations, supply chain and customer service activities.

Policy Approval

This policy has been approved by the Directors of Intersafety Industrial Protection Ltd.

Review period: This policy will be reviewed annually or sooner if there are significant changes to our operations.
